We are looking for independent, highly motivated postdocs, graduate students, and hangers on to work with our group.

We view biological science as "play". rather than poking under rocks with sticks like we did as kids to look for new things, we now are blasting the cytoplasms of bugs with high powered lasers and chemical perturbations. We would love for like minded people to come explore with us.

We attempt to be a multidisciplinary group, and welcome applicants from all fields of biology, computer science, and physics.

Inquiries should be sent to egarner[at]fas.harvard.edu

Applicants should feel free (if not encouraged) to suggest new projects, areas of research, or new ideas in their application, as we encourage members of the lab to expand our repertoire and bring new things to the table. we welcome fresh ideas, organisms, and approaches.

We adhere to a strict "no asshole" rule, and prefer people who are into science for the fun of it, not for their ego. The only reason to do this is the fun of it.

NOTE: Please do not send us "Dear dr. professor, I am interested in Cells" emails. If you do, please make them hilarious, or tell us a delightful story at the least.
